Environmental Policy

 

The Directors and Management of Aurora Hotels-Resorts-Attractions have a firm commitment to responsibly managing the environmental impact of all company operations.


Aurora aspires to an environmental leadership role in the Tourism Accommodation sector, with the following initiatives currently evolving:

 

  • Carbon Emissions Reduction - a Carbon Audit is underway at our flagship Aurora Alice Springs property, with a view to structuring an emission reduction programme adaptable to all Aurora properties

 

  • Energy Saving - Aurora pursues all means to minimize unnecessary energy usage by employing energy-saving light bulbs, regularly replacing insulation and refrigerator seals and updating inefficient appliances
     
  • Waste Management - all properties undertake recycling and minimization of printing where practical

 

  • Company Vehicles - Aurora’s policy is to acquire hybrid fuelled vehicles where practical
